On March 19, 1976, Michael Jeremy Murray entered this world as a unique individual, a uniqueness he was able to sustain until his sudden passing on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
Jeremy was born in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of E. LeVern and Cindy Murray, and the late Gene Greene. He is survived by his spouse, Laura Glyn Zimmerman, two daughters, five-year-old Olivia Glen Murray and two-year-old Reagan Elliott Murray, both of Charleston; his brother, sister-in-law, and niece, Vern Murray II, Laura, and Abby; his sister and brother-in-law, Megan Murray Carr and Brent, and their baby due in September; his uncle and aunt, Gordon Murray and Kathy; and his aunt and uncle, Margie Murray Smith and Rick. Jeremy was the grandson of Joan Lowery Kammerer, and Lewis Murray and Inga…both deceased.
Jeremy was employed by the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and was a Master Electrician. Jeremy was also a Master Mason of Orange-Charles Towne Lodge #14 AFM.
His life included an unbounded love for his family, friends, and dogs. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and camping. In the best sense of the word, he was a good-timing man. And one who could fix anything he put his mind to, because of his true brilliance for how things work.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Charleston County Masonic Association, 1285 Orange Grove Road, Charleston, SC (843-571-7587). A Celebration of Life service will follow.
